Winter can be a cosy time for pets and people alike, but as the days start to brighten, many pets (and owners!) could do with a bit of a reset.

Shorter walks, fewer adventures and one too many treats can leave pets feeling sluggish as we head into a new season.

A fresh start doesn’t mean drastic changes – just a few small tweaks to help your pet feel their best again.

Get Moving Again

As the weather improves, it’s a great time to gently increase exercise. Longer walks, extra playtime or even a new walking route can boost both physical health and mental well-being. For older pets or those with joint issues, gradual changes are best – slow and steady wins the race.

Freshen Up Their Routine

Winter routines often revolve around darkness and bad weather. Now’s the perfect time to review feeding times, exercise patterns and enrichment at home. Puzzle feeders, short training sessions or interactive toys can help shake off boredom.

Check Their Coat and Skin

Shedding season is upon us! Regular grooming helps remove loose fur, keeps skin healthy and gives you a chance to spot lumps, bumps or sore areas early.

A Health MOT

A new season is a great reminder to check parasite prevention, vaccinations and general health. If something’s been niggling at you, don’t ignore it – we’re always happy to help.

A fresh start doesn’t need to be overwhelming. Small, positive changes can make a big difference to your pet’s happiness and health.
