The initial 1 hour consultation costs £300 and includes a thorough discussion about everything to do with your pet’s condition – symptoms, frequency, severity, diet, flea control etc. Also included is a full clinical examination and samples taken to view under a microscope.

Rosie Skinner

BVSc CertAVP(VD) MRCVS

Rosie graduated from the University of Bristol in 2004 with distinction. She achieved her RCVS Advanced Practitioner Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology in 2016 via the University of Liverpool and has been seeing dermatology referrals since 2019.

Rosie is, first and foremost a general practitioner and is highly aware of the pressures facing pet owners and how stressful skin disorders can be to both owners
and pets. Skin conditions are one of the most common presentations in first opinion practice and can cause chronic suffering in our pets, as well as recurrent vet bills.

Most of these conditions are life-long, and therefore a long-term management strategy is required. By seeing a dermatologist for your pet’s skin disease, you are more likely to reach a diagnosis for the condition and a personalised treatment and management plan can be formulated. The goal is to give rapid relief from current symptoms but also improved control of the condition in the long-term with the aim of avoiding severe flare-ups of itchiness and infections.
