We provide veterinary services for all pets, great and small.

The veterinary profession has changed a great deal since we first started in the late 1950s, but we remain extremely passionate about providing the best care for you and your pets.

Primarily we deal with dogs and cats, but you are welcome to bring in any pet – rabbits, ferrets, chickens, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc. Just give us a call on 01628 624935; we will help if we can!

Springtime is finally here! 🌸 The long awaited season of blooming flowers, warmer weather, and longer days has arrived! Although it is a time to rejoice and enjoy the outdoors with our furry friends, it is also time to spring into action to keep your pet safe. As the weather changes, so do the potential hazards for our pets 🐾Chocolate - Contains a stimulant called theobromine, which is highly toxic to dogs and cats so keep those Easter Eggs away! Hot Cross Buns - These contain grapes/raisins/currants/sultanas which are very toxic to your pet.Daffodil Bulbs - These are very poisonous if ingested. May trigger severe vomiting and diarrhoea and could potentially be fatal.Tulips, Amaryllis & Hyacinth Bulbs - Not as toxic as daffodils. However, they can be dangerous if ingested in large quantities.Wasps & Bees - Most stings aren't emergencies but if your pet has been stung in the mouth or neck, or allergic then seek veterinary help immediately.Slugs & Snails - Dogs can catch lungworm from eating them, Lungworm is a fatal disease that slugs and snails carry the larvae of the parasite - Ensure your dog is treated against lungworm.Lilies - All parts of a lily are highly toxic to cats, simply brushing past the plant and grooming the pollen of their coat can be fatal. They can cause convulsions and severe irreversible kidney failure. If you suspect your cat has been near or ingested a lily seek veterinary attention immediately.Rhododendrons & Azaleas - Contains a substance called grayanotoxin which is highly toxic. It can cause nausea, vomiting, difficulty breathing and coma.Buttercups - Mildly poisonous which can cause drooling, vomiting and even seizures.Pesticides & Herbicides - Off the shelf products are considered safe for pets.
