Henry the cat had a terrible knee injury where he ruptured his ligaments and dislocated his knee.
Simon operated on him and placed an external frame – this has pins that go through the skin and into the bone.
The pins are held together in a frame outside of the skin to hold the knee its correct position for 6 weeks so the body can repair itself. Once the 6 weeks were up we removed the pins and the frame. It will take some time for his stiffness to settle but ultimately he should go on to make a full recovery!
